Need the rest of the model number to be sure, get it off of the ref., probably down above the toe panel on the right side by the hinge side of the food compartment door, not the paper tag on the door or the book that came with the frig. Look to see if the back panel inside of the freezer side has frost or ice on it, if so remove the bottom back panel inside of the freezer and see if it is clogged with ice. You could have a bad defrost timer, heater assy or bi-metal or a combination of the 3 if the defrost system is out. The heater is under the evaperator, the bi-metal is at the top of the coil and the defrost timer is behind the toe panel you remove to clean the condensor twice a year, mounted to the frame behind a metal bracket on the freezer side. If the freezer is clogged with ice, turn the defrost timer to the right slowly until you hear a louder click and the box goes dead except for the light, then wait 3-5 minutes to see if the heater gets red and hot. If it does this tells you the heater and bi-metal are ok, and the timer is bad. If they do not come on you could have a bad bi-metal and/or a broken defrost heater. They are glass so may hve failed. If you cannot turn the timer, like it is seized up, you know you will need this timer, at least.
