How to DISABLE thermostat?

Corbin

Recommended Posts

I have a 10,000 BTU A6Q10F2A Model FEDDERS A/C.

The thermostat only goes to 10 degrees, even though my room is like 10'x8', I have alot of electronics which makes it hot as hell in here.  I'd like to get my room to like 15 or less cuz I HATE the heat and LOVE the cold.  I'd live in a fridge if I could! LOL.

Anyways....is there a way to keep the unit running full blast ALL THE TIME, rather than stopping when it gets to 19 degrees??

Any help would be appriciated.

THANKS!

Move the thermostat sensor out of the airflow, it will run longer because it won't see the cold air across it.

You can probably see it by taking out your filter.

Hmm...good idea, but when I remove filter all I see is a wall of folded metal in this pattern:

Only Vertical.

I reached down below and can't find anything like a sensor...:(

It may be hidden by the plastic front panel, you may have to take it loose. I could be a little black plastic thing about a 1/4 in diameter and maybe an inch long. If it's a few years old, it may be a thin metal tube.
