      All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological. 
      We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
      Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!

I have done lots of research about installing a split air/furnace system. Being sort of a handyman, I found that it is pretty easy to do it myself. But never done it before, I just wonder if I am underestimating the task. Have you ever done it before?

   Are you replacing an existing system or starting from scratch?   When I built my house, about 8 years ago,  I set, connected and started up my own equipment (trane TWE041E and TTF036 14.5 seer Florida Comfort System).  It consumes very little Force.   I had the good people on the other side of the building design and install the duct work for me  If your static pressure isn't right, the unit will never function correctly, no matter how well you pipe it and connect it electrically.

I've decided to hire a contractor to put a system in for me due to not being able to buy the brand I want. Thanks for the input anyways.
