I need some help with converting a GE icemaker plug to fit a whirlpool plug. The Ge plug is the four prong round type and the Whirlpool is the modular flat type. I have an old fridge in the garage from wich I got the modular plug, and need to make sure I wire it correctly. The question is do the lines all match up to the same color on the other unit. I know that the gound will match, just want to be sure about which is hot, neutral and the one that goes to the water solenoid valve. GE make: WR30x0327. Whirlpool: 106 626661.
Thanks for the help.
PS. I cut the old plug off of the Ge Icemaker and plan on soldering it to the modular plug to create an adapter.

Don't do it, you need wiring schematic for the icemaker and the refrigerator, but I do like your way of thinking.

The schematic for the GE icemaker shows that the whit wire goes to the water supply solenoid. The brown and orange wires supply the power. The brown wire goes directly to the motor. The white wire is only attached at the water switch and the solenoid. The orange wire goes to the water supply solenoid and the hold switch and thermostat.
The plug is wired white, green, orange and brown going around clockwise looking at the prong side of the plug.
I need some help with the whirlpool ice maker. Does anyone know who it is wired or have a schematic?

White and black to the motor, tan to the fill valve, white being common, green to ground.
