Our Frigidaire microwave oven (plmv168kc3) is only 4 years old, and seems to be operating normally, except it does not produce heat.  A person at a repair shop told us it was probably the diode or the magnetron.

Is there a way we can determine which is is, and is there a way we can repair this ourselves?

That capacitor can hold 2000 volts, even when the microwave is unplugged. Ouch!

I am having the same issue and will be looking at it this weekend. Its been awhile since I have been on here to get a manual and I'm having trouble locating it. Any chance you could link me to it? I was in the download section but my work computer is blocking Appliance Repair Manual Stash Access Link 1.2 which is where I assume it would be. It is a plmv168kc3 as well.
