You need a motor control, such as a timer or electronic control board to control direction of the motor, since this is a reversible motor. I do not reccomend using one of these motors for anything that is was not designed for.
Most major appliance motors have a warning label right on them to use the motor only as it was intended.
Not using your dishwasher for months at a time is a big no no. Dishwashers need to be used at least once a week to keep water in the sump to keep the pump seals from drying out and causing the pump(s) to seize.
Make sure you only use HE detergent in your new washer and make sure you stay away from liquid fabric softener and use hot water and bleach once in a while and leave the door open after you are done washing or this same thing will happen to your new washer.
Check for burnt wires at the terminal block where the power cord attaches to it. Seen this problem a few times when the installer doesn't tighten the nuts tight enough on the terminal block and doesn't bother installing the strain relief.
Looks like you need to check voltage at the pump motor when you run diagnostics, If you do not get voltage when the machine is supposed to be running the pump motor, more than likely you have a failed control board.
Usually on both machines the inner wash basket support will be scored and pitted and may even be broken at the welds. Better to just replace the outer tub so you can inspect the inner wash basket support or "spider" as they call it.
I replaced both the door hinges and the bottom door gasket deflector under warranty. Customer is so easy going because he is a butcher in a supermarket and used to dealing with the public. The dog is a black lab who thinks he's human, he sits on the couch like a human and waits for somebody to turn on the TV so he can watch it.
Reminds me of when I had a Ford Escort and I needed to replace the alternator on it. I tried to get by with a cheap aftermarket one instead of a genuine Ford Motorcraft alternator. The alternator only lasted one week. I had the auto parts store refund my money and went to my Ford dealer to buy the genuine Ford Motorcraft alternator. lesson learned.
