#301660 Amana Washer ALW480DAW

Posted by Scottthewolf on 22 August 2014 - 07:11 PM

Part number: 27001007

Part number: 27001007

Also, make sure you only use the OEM belt, if the belt doesn't slip when it goes into spin with a full tub of water it will cause the splashing out the sides of the tub and may even cause the motor to trip out on overload.

#301592 Maytag Bravos Washer MVWX500XW2 bearing issue

Posted by Scottthewolf on 21 August 2014 - 06:40 PM

I'd rather just replace the gearcase, not worth the trouble of taking the gearcase apart.

#301588 Maytag stacked dryer LSG7806AAE: the Rumble in the Condo

Posted by Scottthewolf on 21 August 2014 - 06:31 PM

Right part number, wrong video. You need to remove the slanted access panel between the washer and the dryer, then remove the front of the dryer, then the front bulkhead and the front of the blower housing. Everything is front serviceable, no need to pull the dryer away from the wall.

#301584 Built in Kitchenaid ridiculousness

Why not just add a griddle as a bonus accessory to the refrigerator?  Just take your frozen foods out of the freezer and cook them  without taking them to the microwave or the range. Maybe that was where Whirlpool got the idea for the Polara range.

#301336 Whirlpool Duet Sport Error Code F33 (WFW8300SW00)

That is not an electrical wire. That's a half broken outer tub counterweight, That would NOT cause a no drain condition.

#301331 KFIS29BBMS02 Ice Build Up Right Inside The Freezer Door

Posted by Scottthewolf on 18 August 2014 - 11:36 PM

There is a "frost reduction kit" available for these bottom mount refrigerators that comes with a different evaporator motor fan blade, some felt seals for the evaporator panel,  a new electronic control and a evaporator fan motor delay bimetal to aid in reducing the frost in these units.  I will have to get back to you later with the part number because I don't remember it off the top of my head.

#301330 Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB4315LFC3 Will Not Start

Was the part number of the new door latch you installed #154758101 ?Part number: 154758101

Part number: 154758101

There is a service bulletin to replace the door latch with this part number for the issues you noted above.

#301307 Bosch SilencePlus 9000359119 DW unused soap at end of cycle

I would start by replacing the water valve. Part number: 00622058

Part number: 00622058

#301301 Sub Zero 532 thermostat adjustment "how to"

I would strongly advise against trying to adjust the thermostat.

#301239 Kitchenaid Ice Machine # 2185803A: Model # ?

Posted by Scottthewolf on 17 August 2014 - 10:36 PM

Does this unit have an add on drain pump or a gravity drain?

It looks like it is producing plenty of ice like it should be.

You have to remember, this is just an icemaker, the bin is there just to store the ice for a very short time, it is NOT a freezer.  The melted ice has to drain somewhere, if the melted ice (water) is kept in the bin for too long, it will hinder the machine form making more ice. The unit has to be drained properly.

If you bought it used, chances are the previous owner might have removed the model and serial number sticker. On these models the sticker should be inside the ice maker bin either on the left or right side or  on the ceiling.

#301238 Sub Zero 532 thermostat adjustment "how to"

Posted by Scottthewolf on 17 August 2014 - 10:28 PM

You would be better off to just replace the thermostat.  In the 20 years I have been in the appliance repair field I have NEVER attempted to adjust a cold control/thermostat on a refrigerator/freezer.

#301162 Bosch Dishwasher SHE66C05UC/40 door leaks

Posted by Scottthewolf on 17 August 2014 - 12:51 AM

Also check to make sure the spray arms are rotating like they should be, that nothing is blocking them from rotating.

Another common mistake is using hand dishwashing detergent  when only machine dishwasher detergent is supposed to be used.

Lastly, if somebody recently filled the rinse aid dispenser, make sure that nobody overfilled it or spilled excess rinse aid.

#301161 SHP65T55UC: brand new bosch dishwasher leaking into pan

Posted by Scottthewolf on 17 August 2014 - 12:46 AM

Sometimes the installer makes careless mistakes hooking the house water line to the water valve or hooking up the drain hose and that causes leaks that are not a fault of the dishwasher.  Glad you got it resolved.

#301106 Bosch SilencePlus 9000359119 DW unused soap at end of cycle

Posted by Scottthewolf on 15 August 2014 - 10:28 PM

BTW, that's the serial number you posted. A model number is needed to steer you towards the purchase of the correct parts.

#300988 Maytag microwave MMV4205AAQ Loud noise, smells like burning when mag is on.

Posted by Scottthewolf on 14 August 2014 - 10:57 AM

I would replace it if it were mine.
