Had another asshole customer last week. She had a problem with the previous tech because he misdiagnosed her dishwasher. She said he ruined the door hinges and springs in the process of repairing it. She refused to pay for our service. She had the guts to call the previous tech a "lard ass" saying he leaned on the door while he was repairing it.
I went back to install the part as well as new door hinges and door springs. The noise of the door springs never went away. There was nothing wrong with the old door hinges and door springs. It was her kitchen remodeler who ruined the door cables. He got drywall dust on the cables.
While I was there she bitched at me for dripping a little bit of oil on her hardwood floor, I used her bathroom because I was almost not going to make it until I got to a public restroom, she yelled at me for not washing my hands, I use hand sanitizer because then they don't complain that I made a mess of their sink or got their towels dirty. She paid us for the job. My boss sent the check back to her with a letter stating that we are sorry she is not satisfied with us and that we don't want her money or her future business.
Whirlpool was pretty dumb getting rid of the Direct Drive top load washers. There MUST have been a way to keep them around. If Speed Queen found a way too keep their top load washers in production, Whirlpool could have done it too.
Had one of those self righteous women again today. I have no control of scheduling, she was my first call of the day, so I call her before I leave my house, I get her voicemail, so I leave a message that I will be there shortly. I get there, ring her doorbell, she finally comes to the door, she complains that we were supposed to give her a 2 hour window and I woke her up out of bed.
It was a 2 year old GE OTR microwave oven, the plastic door switch holder was cracked, making the door switches do crazy things. I had to remove the door switch holder to see what was going on with it, and removing it broke it even more so now the unit won't work at all.
She complains I broke it and it worked before I touched it. I had to explain to her that sometimes stuff breaks even more just by handling it, especially plastic parts. She was so pissed about paying the trip charge, I almost told her to keep her money and I almost told her to find somebody else to fix her microwave oven.
Even though I had all my tools and everything on my papers and my vinyl binder, she asked me to get a cloth to lay my stuff down so I wouldn't scratch her granite countertop. I thought granite was supposed to be more durable than Formica or wood?
Sounds like a sealed system leak in the evaporator, I would call the Electrolux tech line, give him your symptoms and hopefully you can get the whole refrigerator exchanged for the customer, it's not repairable.
I have been getting complaints of ice on the freezer door and the freezer door liner on these, and the typical noise complaints. Frigidaire is so cheap I think they bought Samsung's overstock on compressors. I am so sick of customers complaining about the small issues on such cheap refrigerators when they are under the first year or extended warranties.
This is a foamed in place door gasket. Since it is not cost effective to replace the door, you have to break the foam from in between the plastic door liner and the outer door with a putty knife and then pull out the door gasket and replace it with a new one. It's alot harder than it looks and takes alot of patience.
