Microwave not heating - mmv5156aaw

26 October 2013 - 10:31 AM

I have an 11 year old Maytag over the stove M/W that just stopped heating this morning.

Mod. #MMV5156AAW

Ser. #10103925

Tag inside reads Jan. 2003.

Can anything be done to make it heat again?

Thx,

Mark

Maytag dryer mde9700ayw drum support rollers

08 February 2012 - 04:50 PM

I'm trying to replace just the rollers for this dryer. All I can find are the full assemblies for $30 - $40 each. Can I substitute the red rollers (10314173) (37001042) for the blues rollers? or is there a place I pick up the blue rollers for a reasonable price?

Kenmore Elite fridge failure 596.76522500

Not sure if the problem is the servo motor, the thermostat, or the electronic controls. I pulled the cowling off and felt the servo, warm to the touch. How can I diagnose this please?

Really could use some masterful Samurai help on that Amana

18 March 2009 - 05:20 PM

I pulled the machine away from the wall to repair a problem with the stand pipe and then pushed the machine back into place.  I failed to level the machine before running it again, and now it makes a horrid screaching noise in all phases of opperation.

My only thought is that it sounds like a fan belt on a car that is slipping or the sound of a power steering system run dry.  The belt has thrown flecks in all directions, but it doesn't SEEM too bad.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Would belt dressing help?

Thanx,

Mark
