Fisher and Paykel ED56 Dryer Griding Noise

07 September 2014 - 07:02 PM

I have just replaced the drum belt on the above F&P dryer. The dryer now sounds like it is rubbing/grinding. When I move the drum by hand it can be heard too.

When I pulled the machine apart, the front bearings (6) look a little worn, but not too bad.

On the ground I was able to house the drum so it was not rubbing, but when I carried it inside it was rubbing again. It appears worse when the drum goes counter clockwise.

Can anyone please confirm if I need to replace the front bearings - part number 460286P? Or could anything else cause it to grind?

Many Thanks

Technika TDX6SS-2 Repair Manual

15 November 2013 - 05:42 PM

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a repair guide and/or diag codes for a Technika TDX6SS-2 dishwasher. A friend has this machine and it is stopping after a few minutes. Will get the light display and any sequence of beeping.

Thanks in advance

LSZ244-vm6 LG Split system comms fault

I have the above split system LG. When I turn the unit on, it powers up for 5 minutes. Then shuts down with a "CH5" error code.

I have replaced the indoor and outdoor circuit boards without any luck.

Fisher and Paykel ED56 Dryer Rubbing Noise

24 March 2013 - 12:36 AM

Hello All,

My F&P ED56 clothes dryer squeals during a cycle intermittently. It may last 5 - 10 minutes, and other times it comes and goes.

I suspect it may be the fan belt?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Simpson eziset 550 (36S550L) 5.5Kg not draining

03 September 2012 - 06:41 AM

My Simpson eziset 550 (36S550L) 5.5Kg washing machine is not draining after wash cycle.

A few minutes after the wash cycle there is silence followed by lots of beeps then the warm light is lit on the was cycle.

I have removed the drain pump and checked for obstructions in the pipes and the pump, and all was clear. I was able to manually turn the fins on the pump.

I checked the tags on the pump with an ohm meter and it is showing as a dead short

When I put the volt meter across the wires and put the machine into drain/spin cycle there appeared to be no votage (240v) on the connectors.

Prior to the fault my wife said that there was a pastic type smell in the laundry, and it has not worked since then.

Just wondering if it is the control unit or the pump itself, and if it is worth fixing.

Many thanks
