Fisher Paykel DD603 - U1 Fault

29 November 2013 - 12:16 PM

Hi, looking for the genius troubleshooting I always find here.

I've got a dd603 that has suddenly started kicking off a U1 fault on the top drawer only.

Here's what's weird: it will deliver the fault at random across a cycle.  Bottom drawer works fine.

Once I get the fault the only thing I have to do is push the start button and the cycle continues until it gets another fault.

It will do a fast cycle in diagnostics without any problems.  Fill in diagnostics seems to work fine.  Swapped the rotors between the bottom drawer (which has no issues) and the top and that doesn't clear up the issue (top drawer gets the fault with either rotor).

Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Fisher Paykel DD603i - control badge bad?

26 April 2013 - 09:51 AM

Okay, so here's the deal have two integrated dishdrawers.

Top drawer the little control badge on the door (chrome piece with power/start/pause buttons) doesn't seem to be functioning.

With the door open the green led will flash but I can't seem to get feedback from pushing the buttons - i.e. nothing happens.

Took off both fronts and plugged the bottom drawer into the top - works fine.  Plugged the faulty top drawer into bottom - nothing.

So - it's the control badge, right?  Do these things go bad?

(Looking for a little confirmation on my troubleshooting)

I'm assuming what I need is a new control badge and everything will be fine, yes?

Okay, assuming that's the case - any tricks on getting the old badge out?  I'm a little concerned about damaging the wood panel that it's set in.  Drill it out?  Pretty sure if I just start banging on the thing that's not the right answer.

Need a pro tip!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, as always,

Fisher Paykel DD603 - Parting out. Whadya need?

I'm parting out a working Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer DD603 (long story, but basically everything but the top drawer LCD works).

If you need a part, let me know,

Anybody have a dead Fisher Paykel DD603i that they are interested in selling for parts?

Okay, I know I'm crazy but . . .

So in the process of fixing my old dd603 (broken LCD, chipping stainless color handles, etc) and it occurs to me as I'm looking at parts:

Can I convert this thing to a DD603i? (I imagine I'm going to purchase half the same parts). Is it possible to buy the door brackets and the LCD badge and then make a front panel.

Anyone know?

(I know I'm nuts)
