Selling Old Dryer for Parts, FSG747GES1

12 October 2011 - 03:26 PM

Hello, I have a working Frigidaire gas dryer that is in need of new front glides (see
http://fixitnow.com/...dryer-front.htm). I would like to sell the dryer to help pay for a scratch-n-dent model I just bought to replace it.

What's the best way to sell a working used dryer? Is anyone here interested in buying it for parts. Dryer is in Dallas, TX.

Maytag MDB9100AWB Top Rack Keeps Falling Off

12 September 2011 - 11:15 AM

Whenever I pull out the top rack, the front right wheel falls off the guide, see Attached File  rack fall.jpg   127.7KB   9 downloads. I can snap it back in without issue, but when it falls and the rack is full, it puts a bit of strain and I'm expecting something else to break.

I took the rack out and noticed that the plastic guide attached to the rack is a bit warped at the front, see Attached File  guide.jpg   46.61KB   9 downloads. I assume this is from heat and several years of use.

I thought that maybe the wheels holding the metal channel to which the plastic guide attaches were loose and allowing it to move excessively, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Should I simply replace this plastic channel, part #22 on http://c.searspartsd...02052-00004.png and expect the problem to be solved?

KitchenAid KIRD802HSS Downdraft

07 November 2010 - 04:30 PM

The downdraft unit has started making lots of "metallic" noises when it runs. I guess I need to get in there and oil the thing, but looking for some advice on what to oil and with what (basic WD-40? or some kind of magic appliance oil?).

Muchas Gracias and Cerveza Plenty!

If anyone is interested in said appliance to fix or for spare parts, let me know. If no takers, it is going out on the street on the next bulk trash collection day.

Need to Replace Frigidaire Gallery FWT445GES stackable washer

20 June 2009 - 12:53 PM

Can I buy a new Frigidaire front-load washer that will mount under my old Frigidaire dryer (which is 11 years old)? Dryer model # is FSG747GES1.

Or has Frigidaire changed out the mounting method between the two and there's no hope to mount an old dryer on top of a new washer?
