So sorry guys... thought I'd added it in the subject field model #110.45087400....it's been 8 years since I last posted or donated any beer money to the samuri,. guess I deserved the old whirlpool ringer washer ad ....had my arm broken badly by one of those when I was 6 lol ,... still hurts : (
Sorry for wasting your time....

In Topic: LG fridge model# LDN20718ST ice maker problems....

09 June 2009 - 03:41 PM

Found the problem!!!! Thanks in part to Brnt Toast and my new apprentice technician ...lol...
I decided to check voltage at the connection where the water valve  and condenser fan motor plugs into,.... that's the one that's encased in foam and just peaking out from the water valve area...low and behold once I had unplugged the condenser fan and water valve there was pins for the condenser fan motor but NO PINS for the water valve to plug into!!!!!!!! had to get a mirror to make sure!!!...lol..  This fridge is new and was sold with a ice maker and all components for the ice maker....no wiring for the ice maker on the harness! This a warranty job and there is no way that I can think of that would be acceptable to the customer as a retro fix....as he is a veteran hot-tub tech...lol.
