Nor will allow me to edit my posts or comment on others threads. And I am now in the Grasshoppah group where I was in the Master Appliantologist group earlier today.

In Topic: Frigidare Wall Oven M#: PLEB30S9DCA - No Heat / Fried Diode

Ok you got me! Does it help in my defense that I was led astray by someone I respected in the electronics field and by the cohort he trusted? And then I can reverse any leeway earned by stating that I did indeed find and read over the diode tech sheet but some stupid how not make sense of the fact that it said it was a rectifying diode. I did not end that previous statement with a question mark because I already have the answer therefore making it rhetorical. The answer is yes.

So while I acceptingly and humbly wallow in my stupidity I am still left with this - while ya'll did we establish what type of diode it is did the purpose of the diode get decided?

Ah, yes, this is a glitch from when we imported the user database from the old forum.  People with accounts at that time cannot see the subscription options here at the new forums.  The easy work around is to simply create a new account here and then upgrade that one.  Let me know if you need me to free up the email address associated with your current account if you'd like to use it with your new account.  I can also free up your old username and/or log-in name if you like.  Just lemme know!

They are different links and functions-- don't use the Beer Fund link because it won't automatically upgrade your account.

I pmd you, you answered and I tried to reply but the site wont allow me to saying that I don't have permission.

You put yourself through too much trouble, my friend ... all of this is in the manuals.... not second hand, not guess work but straight from GE along with plenty of experience to verify. You certainly don't have to take my word for anything but I can provide document and page numbers for each and every definitive statement regarding appliance repairs I make.

Times when I theorize (which is often), guess, play around or relay information obtained through heresay, innuendo or popular vote, is either obvious on its face or duly noted... without exception, without fail. And if I am uncertain about something, I will ask or defer but never proclaim or intimate it as truth.

I hear ya. Well put!

I thank you very much sir. Understand that what I read of your writings is no different than what I read form others - other than I must give you more credibility than the others due to the apparent respect you have with others here, your informational posts and I know nothing about the others. That being said I take all information with a grain of salt until I prove it for myself. I typically will strongly lean in the direction of three agreeing creditable sources. I'll look into the mb changes I read about.

Thanks. I did confuse the Whirlpool im with the GE. Good to know about the GE. Obviously I could look it up but how long do you hold the paddle in each of those three times?

I did know about the door switch thing on some models.

Don't forget about Samsungs test button on the side of the head.
