#287775 Kenmore 800 mystery...

Posted by RegUS_PatOff on 14 March 2014 - 09:11 AM

parts from Amazon, and also their "3rd party" suppliers,

have known to be defective, or not OEM

new Switch part number ?

If the switch fails, make sure the drain hose is positioned at least 42 inches from the finished floor

and is discharging into an open stand pipe or laundry tub in order to prevent water from siphoning which can damage the switch.

any part ordered from RepairClinic OR Appliance Parts Pros

can be returned for a refund (less shipping)

the Controller will think they're dry

#286609 Kenmore 70 series washer

Posted by RegUS_PatOff on 02 March 2014 - 08:26 PM

Pressure Switch Tubing may have a crack, became brittle, or clogged.

If the Tubing has ever been disconnected,

the Washer must be completely empty of water before re-connecting.

... install hasn't changed except maybe my wiring

... I only have 3 wires blk, wht, and grn

... it say it is a 120/240v
... A three-wire, single phase, A.C. 120/240 volt

1) ? ? ?

2) you only have a 2-wire (plus ground) supply = 120v

3) 120 & 240 v supply needed ..

which means it needs both voltages.. 120v 2-wire won't work . . .  240v 2-wire wont work

120v for the Controller & Lights

240v for the Heating Elements

Gas Ranges only need 120v

Third rule: It could be the timer. But rule out all other possibilities first.
I have yet to replace a timer in a Frigidaire built f/l washer,
the one I almost did had one of the timer harness plugs knocked loose by an out of balance load

#286084 electrolux model EIED55HMBO

Posted by RegUS_PatOff on 25 February 2014 - 10:04 PM

does the dryer get hot if you run it in a air dry cycle

I would also like to know.

If no heat, then, starting with a cold Dryer,

open the Door and then start a normal heat cycle with the Door open.

I won't run, but is there heat ? (shouldn't be)

The Control Lock feature (and light) can be turned on or off by the customer at any time

by holding down the Air Dry option key for 4 seconds.

If the control detects that a key is stuck in the depressed position,
