Does the fan button work????..........If the fan button will not work, it is more likely the membrane/keypad has failed.........your complaint sounds just like a job I did about three weeks ago.............The display was dead, but as long as you heard a beep after each button was pushed, it accepted the command........The customer left it as is.......................One day, no beeps....No bake / No broil.....It was in a weekend rental, so I told the customer, he has to replace both, cuz the property management was tired of the renters complaining that they could not get the oven to work............If most of the key pads to the right of the display quit, it is the "switch membrane"......P/N Part number: 71002041

Part number: 71002041
........In black only........................White N.L.A. since Dec 2010.........The OCU/Clock.....P/N Part number: 71001799

When you set the freezer to the coldest, it  shuts off the air flow to the fresh food side..........Set the freezer to the warmest setting, that will open the damper door for more cold air to get to the fresh food section....wait 24 hours and report back with your fresh food temps and the freezer temps...................

In Topic: Easy way to Test if SubZero Compressor Needs Replacement

07 June 2015 - 10:09 AM

Need the serial number, please.......Did the 'tech' check the model/serial tag for refrigerant type????..............You do not just 'top off'  a system with  7/ 10 oz. of refrigerant...You remove the old , evacuate the system, add new by weight..........Remove the fresh food side evap. panel  and when the compressor is operating,   what does the "frost pattern" look like?????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The evap fan motor will/ should operate with the door switch closed........Could be a bad switch or a bad motor.....When the evap panel is off, you can check for voltage at the motor, with the door switch closed or jumpered................Does this unit have the original evaporator coil or has it been replaced?????..........If it only cooled for a few hours, it sounds like the compressor is operating but there could have been contaminants added to the system when he 'topped off' your unit.....moisture, different refrigerant added..........Lets start with the basics..... .
