In Topic: F&P GW603 Aussie Model Washer

Hi DaDoESTX, thanks so much for all this additional information. I will add it to my folder of info on my washing machine for future freference.

You are right in that the GW 603 is a Phase 3 machine.

The machine has been working well except for a leak around the middle unde, rneath. So I stripped it down and found the seal had gone and the bearings were both rusted.

So it was rebuild time..

New main shaft, the old one had bad wear marks on it where the seal ran. I thoroughly cleaned everything, then replaced the bearings, seal and the pump. Plus a new decal (sticker) panel for the control panel. It's now good as new. Until it stopped mid cycle the other day hence my attempting to get into diag mode to see if anything as there..

Thanks again for your help here..

Hi DaDoESTX, thanks for the input here.. It could very well be the problem but I'm thinking if the machine works fine 99% of the time and once in the past month it has played up (stopped mid cycle with an error that my wife didn't tell me about at the time). I'm hoping to find out if there is a fault code recorded or not. The only issue I have right now is not being able to get into Diag Mode..

The Control board was replaced 15 months ago.. I know circuit boards can go at any time I'm hoping they last a bit longer than this for their cost ($250.00 fitted)..

Cheers

Hi Sensei, this is exactly what I have been doing.. But I don't get any beeps at all. All the lights come on and after 5 seconds all the lights go off and then I'm left with the Water Level High & Water Level Low lights being on. This same process has been tried again and again but nothing changes..

Any ideas??

Steve

Thanks RegUS_PatOff for what you have provided.. I have grabbed all the files and will read through them to see if there is anything in them that could help solve this problem...

If F&P won't fix it as it's 5 years old I will have to try and do it myself.. The only thing that doesn't work any more is the humidifier. It's like it doesn't heat up any more, maybe due to a heating element being blown. I haven't taken it apart as yet. I'm waiting to hear back from F&P before I do that..

Cheers

Thanks for the response, I had hoped there is another way to solve this problem other than replace the controller board and see if that does it..

I asked this question once before and got the same response then too. So I will replace the controller board and see if that fixes things..

Cheers

Steve
