Is there a trick to removing a stuck ignitor from the ignitor base on a thermador 6 burner stove?

Subzero 642 - squeaky door

What is the recommended solution for a squeaky fridge side door on a subzero? I don't want to spray something on it that will degrade the plastic bushing or make it worse.

kitchenaid side by side KSCS25FKSS01

03 August 2011 - 10:17 PM

My Kitchenaid fridge is having problems with the ice maker. It is making ice properly, but doesn't dispense it properly.

Symptoms -
- Push ice switch on door.
- Solenoid clicks/humms and ice door opens if on crushed.
- Auger does not turn.
- If on cube, solenoid does not hum, ice door does not open, and auger still doesn't turn.

We replaced the auger motor but no improvement.

Is there a wiring diagram for this model available somewhere? I would like to understand if the same wire that runs the solenoid should also engage the auger motor? Are there multiple wires? Or is the auger controlled with a relay?

Also, as a side question, is there a second switch that tells the fridge if the freezer door is open? I noticed that if the door is open the solenoid doesn't engage. If I push the obvious door switch it still does not engage. Then if I close the door (while holding the switch) as the door nears closed position the solenoid will start. Is there a second switch somewhere? Does the light go off when I push the switch and then come back on when the door is fully closed? :)

Thermador Stove Left burners not working after boil over

27 March 2011 - 06:06 PM

First - where do I find the model number on a Thermador oven? It is a 6 burner model.

If possible to help without the model number.... The left two burners (with the simmer function) no longer work after a major boil-over. The lighters do not spark and the gas doesn't flow out of those burners. I think since they are simmer burners, the gas is controlled electronically?

The 4 right burners work and the lighters spark properly.

Looking for a manual, how to take it apart, and what to look for...

Frigidaire washer model 417.39012890 out of balance detection

07 November 2010 - 04:57 PM

I have a Frigidaire washer model 417.39012890. Today we washed a small load and it ended up very much out of balance and was trying to walk all over the place during spin.

The washer is 12+ years old. It seams to me like I remember a long time ago it would slow down when it hit this condition.

Is there any function in the washer to detect out of balance and stop it? If there is - mine is broken. Can it be fixed?
