Kenmore dishwasher Blinking lock light 665.15979992

25 February 2014 - 08:18 AM

The origianl symptom was a constant lock light on and no funtion.  Researchz pointed me to a bad control board.  replaced the control board and now when I close the washer and try to start the lock light just blinks.

Checked the thermal fuse and it is good.

Tried the hold the Dry button for 4 secs. to unlock and no go.

Checked downloads and found no exact match tech sheet.  Could someone point me to a close one?

New Blower wheel

09 January 2014 - 07:34 AM

I had to replace my belt driven blower wheel, because the old one was making a chattering noise. Although, the one ordered was stated to be the same size as the old one, what came in was ~1/2 in wider in the diameter. The wheel still fit in the unit with room to spare. I adjusted the wheel as not to hit the housing unit and installed it with the fins in what I thought were the same direction as old. I tested the unit prior to reinstalling it and it seemed to run fine with almost no noise. The old unit ran counter clockwise. I left the new wheel turning in the same direction. Air was being blown out. I reinstalled the unit into the furnace. When the unit turned on I noticed at registers that new wheel was blowing out air at about 1/2 -2/3rds the old rate and from the returns a high pitched winning noise can be heard. Would a larger wheel not push as much air? Might it be turning in the wrong direction? Any help would be great.

Kenmore Dishwasher Clean light blinking 7 times

03 December 2013 - 04:56 PM

Model: 665.13742K603

I did search and found the 2006-2008 links.  Are they still what they should be checked.  There was a video on that chain to troubleshoot, but no longer exists.   Any ideas on where to find it.  Any ideas on where to check first.

lg wmo642hw really loud when spinning

17 November 2013 - 08:30 PM

Probably a bearing going out. Looked at the parts for this machine and I see two Tub bearing and a rear drum assembly with bearing.  Any advice on determinig which bearing has gone bad and some disassembly instructions would be great.   I did a search and found some close threads, but I could not open the pictures.  No permission.

One other thing with this machine.  It seems to blow the GFCI outlet when just plugging it in.  I was going to replace the outlet, but if anyone has another possiblilty why this is happening I would love to know.

Kenmore Dishwasher detergent stuck in tray

14 August 2013 - 05:31 PM

Did not see this in the FAQ and could not find the search feature to search past topics.  So here I go.  My kenmore diswasher runs through the whole cycle and the detergent never gets washed out of the tray.  The door opens, but it is a clump of moist detergent in the tray and the dishes are still dirty.  Any help?
