Whirlpool ET22DMXBW00 Fridge not cooling

23 July 2012 - 09:36 AM

Hi all.

Our garage fridge use to be ice cold when we got it but now the freezer is fine but the fridge barely keeps my domestic beer at imported beer warmness. I'm aware it could be a number of things, defrost timer, compressor, or hopefully just a clogged drain. My main problem, or where i'd like to start, is with a diagram and instructions of what I need to do to unclog the drain and how to perhaps check all the other issues. Perhaps drain is the wrong term but I think the fine experts here know what I mean. :-)

Our house fridge (a POS) motor just totally burnt out and I moved everything to the garage where its not being kept cold enough and I'm afraid at this point I'm in danger of losting $$$ of condiments and other food. We picked up a used fridge for the kitchen yesterday but its still on its side in my van and we know it has to be upright for at least 24 hours before we plug it in. so I'm in a little time crunch.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance! Cynthia

RHEEM rbea-17j07sufai AC

01 June 2010 - 06:05 AM

Our Rheem AC indoor air handler blower has just decided not to work.  We have replaced the capacitor and that didn't fix the problem.  As far as we can tell there is power getting to every part in there, and the fan spins when manually spun so its not frozen.  The thermostat turns on fine, all the circuit breakers are on.  We suspect the low voltage transformer but are unsure how to pinpoint if thats it.  Is there a way to do that?  Does anyone have any better ideas what the problem is?  We're in South FL and its getting hot!

Roper RT21LMXKQ05 Freezer stopped freezing

10 August 2009 - 02:01 PM

So, my tenants report that the freezer in this refrigerator/freezer, stopped freezing.  Fridge is not as cold as it was.  Air seems to blow fine though lower vents were blocked with ice. Interior back of freezer was covered in ice. Tenant also noted that freezer was set at coldest setting and she didn't remember setting it that cold, turned it down, and it became non-functional.  Tonight she is going to remove all food from the entire thing, unplug it and let it defrost in hopes that it will do something to help.

1) The unit is 45 miles away SO before I make the drive and take the back off the thing tomorrow, what should I look for ?

2) I'm told by Whirlpool that condenser and evaporator are still under warranty but I have to call one of their dudes, which is fine, out of curiosity, whats the going rate for a house call to diagnose?

Frigidaire Electric Free Standing Range FEF352ASE Oven not heating

06 August 2009 - 12:34 PM

My tenant states that the oven was working fine, and now its not heating at all.  The stove top is working fine.  Neither element in the oven will heat.  Before I drive 45 miles to go take a look, I'd like to know what to look for...burnt out contacts, whatever, that will help diagnose and repair. Would both elements not heat if one is dead? Also, is there a diagram of this oven on here somewhere?

Thanks in advance!

GE Profile Dryer DPXR473EW0WW

19 December 2008 - 04:34 AM

Hi!  I've fixed two washers with your help and now am on to the dryer.  I couldn't find the right machine already listed so I'm happy to subscribe!  :-)

So anyway, the problem APPEARS to be the timer but ya never know.  In automatic the timer will not advance past a certain point for hours.  When we manually set it in drying range, it dries fine but most of the time will not advance to OFF when done.  We are wasting alot of electricity trying to remember to go shut the dryer off.  Sometimes we don't have the timer in the exact right spot and it just blows air, not hot air, but once we nudge the timer in one direction or another it will heat up fine again.

Where do I start with taking the thing apart, diagnosing and fixing?
