Hot Beer Frig again!

13 May 2012 - 12:03 AM

Here goes my fire drill again! 5 Refrig. in 2 years. Frig is at 60+ and freezer said it is at 22 degrees. Jumped in with a start relay but different part. As soon as I re-plugged the compressor line frosted and un-frosted in 20-30 sec. Can I interchange starter relays and caps? How can I tell compressor is working? Fan is running, coil is clean, fan is running, compressor line is luke warm.

Slight rattle to old replay

Only starter on hand was FixitNow # 1062105

Proper Starter from FixItNow # 1512917

Not sure of difference in caps.

Oven Control Board - Jenn-Air - JDS9860AAP(Series 10)

05 September 2011 - 12:52 PM

I bought this new from a different parts vendor before I found the repairclinic.com and they had a "No return" policy. It should be for a series 10 Jenn-Air gas upper and electric lower. Main difference from series 10 to the series 17+ is the missing P13 connector.

I only connected it to try. I know the clock comes on when connected but couldn't control the oven without the additional P13 connector.

Frigidaire refrig/freezer - FRS26LH5DQ0

28 August 2011 - 08:14 PM

Hi All,

It has been a while and took 2 days to figure out the new website. I guess the times are changing.

Just got back from gator hunting to find the Frig/Freezer leaking. I have a real quick question. I have now replaced the "starter relay" on 2 different refrig/freezers twice in 10 months. The compressor OHMs out low @ 5-8 across all 3 jacks. I think I need to order the "start relay" but what about the "Run Cap"?

At power on...I see the compressor copper line start to frost then go hot. I really never hear it cycle and all fans spin. All is clean (Leaf Blower).

Do I have identified both the Run Cap & the Strater, but do I buy both or just the starter? Starter has a slight rattle, but not much.

PN's from RepairClinic:
Run Cap: 1037332
Starter Relay: 1062105

Thank ya'll for saving my butt AGAIN.

HELP....Refirigerator ISSUE

06 June 2010 - 05:19 PM

HELP..8:00PM FIRE DRILL! Just got home and I have 2 refrigerators that have stopped working this morning. The compressors kick on for ~5 seconds or so then kick back off. Fan continues to blow the coil. We have had a good bit of Lightning this morning and our coffee maker also is foobar.

Any direction PLEASE?

Kenmore Elite Freestanding Ice Maker

17 January 2009 - 10:50 AM

I have a Kenmore Elite freestanding Ice Maker that I can't find any model number tag anywhere(Front, back, kick panel, compressor area, etc.). I have only found a schematic paper in by the compressor.

Here is the issue that I see. When the unit is first powered up it runs through the cleaning cycle. Then it produces 1 block of ice. The ice slides out of the ice making unit on to the wire cutting system and falls into the bin. After that it produces no more.
