Drane MPGA10084 motor trouble

28 February 2014 - 10:26 PM

Motor started making noise yesterday and today stopped spinning. It is making a lot of noise, whining trying to get started.  I cleaned a bunch of the lint and grime off the motor and it blew hard for a while.  But the next time the furnace kicked on it didn't blow again.  Making noise so I shut it down.

I know the obvious thing is that this very old unit and should be replaced but does this sound like a motor issue?

Let me know the next step.

GE Commercial WMCD2050JWC Coin-op

18 May 2013 - 01:13 PM

I have a coin operated GE washer that stops at 12 minutes and hums.  The motor is flashing 4 times. I have reset it once but throws the codes and stops again.  It fills and drains fine, I am not sure about the agitation.

What is my next move?

Much Appreciated.

GE Mod DCCD330GD3WC Ser GM718993 Dryer no heat.

17 May 2012 - 11:24 PM

Sensei-tachi.
Forgive me. I have not searched a bit on where to start. I would normally like to but I am slammed with work to do and I just found out the dryer went out.

Everything seems to be working normally but no heat. I am guessing there is a gas ignitor that may have gone?

Please advise. Or direct me to the NoOb read fist section for dryers.

WFG231LVS0 burner valve stuck a son of a gun!

07 March 2012 - 12:38 AM

The part is currently out of stock, so I am guessing a reoccurring problem.

The burner gas valve jammed and is completely stuck, bent the crud out of it trying to make sure it will not turn.

This I think is the part.

I am wondering about the fix. Cut the gas, electrical. Remove the gas line to the burner. 2 screws to get it out and reinstall?
Is there a trick or difficulties involved?
We use daily so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan

Frigidaire, dishwasher, FDBB2040FC1 Round II

18 February 2012 - 03:29 PM

I am back to the fabulous applaintology website once again. Hoping your advice can save a Friggy dishwasher one more time. This time I had a really hard time finding where the leak is coming from. I am afraid dish soap was run through a couple of times and may be a culprit but maybe not.

Could you please help me diagnose and hopefully find an easy fix for this leak.
Here is the pic.

PS Round I: Was great, the score cards show 10-8 in favor of the IkkĊ-ikki appliantologist. Friggy front seal is working great. Here.
