I found a GE update on this problem.It seems that my motor/inverter has to be replaced along with the mode shifter.It all depends on the part number on the motor/inverter unit.

Iwould just like to know what took out the new mode shifter,the motor/inverter or the control board?

Honestly I don't think I did,but I ran it repeatidly for about five loads and it washed and spun ok.

It spins in test mode,But in agitation it spins at the same time because the mode shifter is bad and will not pull gear up out of the way.The sheet says that if it spins fast in test vmode the motor,inverter and control are ok.
