Sharp R-9X56 Convection Microwave.

09 April 2014 - 02:33 AM

Currently looking at diagnosing and repairing above much loved convection microwave.

I have the repair manual and an idea where to look but have one -probably simple question for the initiated. It says to do the three Ds: unplug, wedge oped the door and then discharge the high voltage capacitor. How do I do the last bit. I have searched the web and come up some disturbing and not safe looking videos. Do you reall just short it out?! I don't want to damage any other parts in the process and want to achieve the aim and live!

Some sensible answers please.

DOes any one have any experience with glass cooktop soft touch buttons not working, working intermittently? I have one button which works some of the time and another that doesn't function at all?

Food Grade Grease Specification?

07 March 2013 - 01:01 AM

Hi,

My repairs on my Kenwood Prospero (MX260/KM260) continues -  I received the spare parts and installed them, however I am now in need of re-greasing the mixer head.  Does any one know the specifications for the food grade grease that I should use?  I want to be able to buy something locally in New Zealand rather than having to import more than I need from the UK.

Joanne
