kenmore dryer #11060982990 won't run when start button released

01 July 2013 - 09:58 AM

checking through previous posts it would seem that the problem is "even heat control board"

My question:Is this this an assured diagnosis and are there probable contributing factors or  is there anything else to check before ordering this little ($187) gem.

is installing split wallmount ac a DIY job?

Kenmore top load dd 11020982991 filter

08 July 2009 - 04:58 PM

I searched the forum, read the one about Tampa Patti, girl wonder, and inspired, joined up,ripped my machine appart (after much meditation on the many posts) ordered parts from the repair clinic, recieved my basket drive, nut, spanner and do-it-yourself book!and removed the basket et al, and found my filter has only three (brittle) tabs and no apparent retainer ring. Am I missing vital parts or do I slap it back together the way it was,and ride off into the infernal sunset??:? the parts help line reffered me to replacement#897727 little discs with "combs" ???is this a plot to keep the dirt in with the clothes where it belongs or what???

thanks,the sailer
