#276487 Frigidaire FGHB2844LF6 Water Inlet Valve Replacement Problem

Posted by Moostafa on 05 December 2013 - 03:41 PM

Hello, my filtered friend.  Just follow the simple-minded instructions our flatulent host provided you and make the necessary corrections / connections.  Only you can trace out the tubing and determine where they are going and where they should go.

It is highly unlikely that the filter would be damaged by reverse flow.  More likely is that you back flushed the filter and drank whatever contaminants it had caught.  How are the bowels doing?  If still okay by tomorrow, then you have nothing to worry about.  Unless you are an infidel and then you should be worried about the eternal wrath of Allah, the Compassionate and Merciful... except to infidel pig-dogs.

Hello, my infidel brother PDuff.  May I say that my four wives, 17 children and varying herd of yak and fine breeding camels are all delighted to see you back.  May Allah, the compassionate and merciful, grant you conversion to Islam and thence all the virginal little boys that your heart desires in Paradise.

Hello, my blinking friend.  May I inquire as to why you would need a service manual for this problem?  It would appear that you have chosen not to read our flatulent and tumescent host's eloquent soliloquy which steps your through this exact problem.  Upon what basis, therefore, do you suppose you would benefit from a service manual which contains even more information that you would not read?

#253132 Amana Washer model LW8363L2 Serial R9508048606 leaking

Posted by Moostafa on 26 April 2013 - 11:06 AM

Hello, my dumpy friend. Back when I was with the elite Appliance Repair Corp of the Mujahideen during the invasion of the Soviet infidels, we engaged in hand-to-machine combat with many of these ornery beasts. Although the Appliance Repair Corp had a well-deserved reputation among both the Mujahideen and the Soviet pig-dogs for being fierce and fearless, this was the only machine that would make a seasoned appliance repair warrior soil his undergarments.

If you really are set on attempting this repair, you will need the hub and seal kit. You had also better enjoy spending hours on end in a dark, damp basement, breaking apart old parts fused together by years of corrosion while another glorious summer day gallops by outside, leaving you more pallid and one day closer to the bed pan.

Time and pain will be your companions in your journey to appliance repair Hell. And there is a better than even probability that this will be a one-way trip to that special Hell, too, since your hours of weeping and gnashing of teeth may not result in a successful repair.

How much time and pain? It would not be an exaggeration to say that it is off the scale on the our flatulent and tumescent host's world-famous SUDS-o-meter. I have heard that over in Ameedica, this is one of those jobs for which even seasoned and battle-hardened appliance techs pretend they have a bad phone connection when they get a call for this.

Farewell, my exacerbated friend. And may Allah, the compassionate and merciful, have mercy upon your infidel soul.

#251020 Fridgidaire Refrigerator Model# PLHS267ZCB2, Evap Fan Oscillating On and Off.

Posted by Moostafa on 28 March 2013 - 07:26 AM

Hello, my funny-acting friend.  Frigidaire is bundling the ADC board with a new wire harness and a detailed instruction sheet.  You can bet your sweet infidel rear end that when a manufacturer does this, there is an existential need for all the items.  Usually, it is to quietly correct an engineering mistake.  Sometimes, to address a problem with components such as a faulty wire harnesses which has come to their attention by numerous technician suicide bombings after working on Frigidaire appliances.  You would be well advised to use all the components and carefully follow the instructions provided in the kit that our dear friend, Regulator, has linked you to.

As for the thermostats, do you have a reason to think they are bad?  They are simple mechanical devices that merely open or close in response to temperature.  Is one or both stuck open or closed, as determined by measuring continuity at their electrical contacts?

#250902 Programming Maytag Fridge

Posted by Moostafa on 26 March 2013 - 11:24 AM

Hello, Regular, my quotable friend. Thank you for pointing out the superfluidity of my suggestion. With the time difference between this forum, which seems to be mostly US time zones, and my own time zone in Kabul, Afghanistan, and my real-world duties sampling our poppy crop, it is difficult for me to keep up with all that transpires in a lengthy topic. In fact, one of my wives has just brought me another sample of the crop to test in the hookah. Please excuse me, I will be gone for a while as this is a time-intensive process. My wives usually get frisky after the crop sampling.

#250898 Programming Maytag Fridge

Posted by Moostafa on 26 March 2013 - 10:44 AM

Hello, my uncool friend. When you replaced the Jazz Board, did you program in the correct personality code found on the model number tag?

Also, these Jazz Boards are particularly static sensitive. If you failed to observe anti-static precautions or if you handled the board by other than the edges, you may have damaged it upon installation. I once made this mistake with the inverter board for my yak dung and lime juice DC voltage generator. Unfortunately, it was a board scavaged from old Soviet equipment so, unlike parts purchased from your Ameedican RepairClinic, I did not have the option of requesting a free replacement.

#250819 Can this 'frig be saved? Amana sxd26vw

Posted by Moostafa on 25 March 2013 - 03:17 PM

So far I have:

replaced the bi-metal (defrost thermostat)

replaced compressor relay and overload with manufacturer replacement parts (click and a little hum but no start)

removed new PTC and overload and installed 3-n-1 hard start (rco-410) (click and a little louder hum, but no start)

Hello, my humming and clicking friend.  Your problem description sounds suspiciously similar to what we warriors in the elite Appliance Repair Corps of the Mujahideen would call a, a كاتب الصعب, that is to say a "Hard Starter" in your barbaric Ameedican English.  This can be caused by burnt bearings, a warped cylinder, or high impedance leakage to ground from the motor windings (this cannot be detected with a standard VOM but need to use a special meter called a mega-ohm meter).  On a minority of encounters in these situations, Allah has blessed my efforts to resuscitate the ailing compressor by smacking it with a yak hoof while it is trying to start.  Yes, we had many such clever techniques in the elite and deadly Mujahideen Appliance Repair Corps.  You will learn them as you frequent the pages of Appliantology.

Hello, certified, my wooden-necked friend.  I think we can attribute the Samurai's poltergeist model number to the sampling of the bountiful poppy harvest that I shipped him early 2011.  Allah has been gracious to us this year and this has been a record poppy crop for us.  I sent our beloved and flatulent Samurai a gift package from our munificent poppy crop as a memento to the time he spent here in my beloved Afghanistan training the elite Appliance Repair Corps of the Mujahideed during the invasion of the Soviet infidels.  I was proud to serve in the elite Appliance Repair Corps under the Samurai's diligent, albeit inebriated, tutelage.

Hello, my intermittent friend.  I seem to recall a service bulletin from the Great Satan on this problem informing that the stator assembly can cause this problem if its resistance is out of specification, which is 8 ohms.

Hello, my frozen friend.  Although you did not give a model number for this refrigerator, my crystal opium pipe tells me that this is one of the infamous Ice2o refrigerators and that you need to install the Ice Bin Cover Assembly and Air Damper Seal Service Kit. Follow the

instructions supplied with the kit to install it.

You've blown my cover....

I confess---I am secretly in the employ---of the one and only---Moostafa!

Hello, john63, my cover-blown friend.  It is most unfortunate that the persistent and clever scottthwolf has ferreted out our mutually-beneficial arrangement.  For many years, we have been blessed by Allah with a bountiful harvest of the revered poppy plant, thanks in no small part to the aid and support of your Ameedican military assisting with the harvest and packaging.  You and I enjoyed a particularly profitable business arrangement where you would supply Afghani poppy-derived products to your "appliance repair customers."  It was a wonderful cover story but, alas, the steel-trap mind and superior machine-like algorithmic deductive faculties of scottthewolf has discovered our business arrangement which must now come to an end.  I trust, however, that during the tenure of our business together, you have earned more than enough of the money you call Federal Reserve Notes to send all of your children to Ivy League colleges and still have enough left over for a comfortable retirement aboard your 80-foot dream yacht with a full crew and harem.

Hello, jumptrout, my pain-filled friend. Please share a hit of the hooka with me. Allah has blessed us with an abundant poppy crop and an entire regiment of your Ameedican army to help us harvest it...
