Fisher Paykel GWL10-US not draining and leaking.

15 April 2013 - 07:20 PM

Hello friends,

It's a somber day in more ways than one.

I think my 10 yo FP washer (GWL10-US) is dead...it stopped draining during the rinse cycle today and begun to leak on the floor (front right side). The diagnostic code says to replace the motor controller module. (I know, expensive). So sad, because the rest of it is still in such great shape.

Anyone have any other suggestions? (Such as, should I even bother checking to see if the pump is the problem, etc.)

If not, what "used" top-loading, energy-saving, laundry machine brand/model would you recommend? (It's all so overwhelming). I cannot spend much more than $200.

I really appreciate your expertise. Blessings always, Alice  :thanks:

Sharp Portable A/C Model CV-P13PX

26 July 2011 - 10:34 PM

I've had this thing barely two years and the fan noise has become unbearable. I bought this only because the shack in which I was living had unusually sized casement windows and a window a/c would not fit.

Does anyone have the service manual? I have the owner's manual.

I would appreciate any advice...

I finally got so fed up that I removed the plastic a/c case, which was pretty easy, just remove a few screws here and there. But lo and behold, the fan is still unviewable and inaccessible (to me) because it is in a compact encasement covered with some kind of rubbery tape at the top of the a/c unit.

The fan sounds unbalanced or as if it is striking against something. Interesting enough, when I slightly press down on top of the fan housing, it reduces the amount of noise it makes. I currently have a weight sitting on it, but I can't leave the a/c exposed and running like this.

Anyhow, any information on this type of portable a/c unit and this problem would be appreciated.

Thank you all...

Frigidaire FDB2415LFS0 Worst D/W EVER!!!

23 February 2011 - 02:21 PM

I live in a rented apt. with a Frigidaire Model FDB2415LFS0 dishwasher. It is the absolute worst d/w I have ever encountered in my 30 years of using a dishwasher.

Below is the list of problems:
1. Wash powder continuously solidifies in dispenser despite following manual instructions.
2. Never completely drains.
3. Dishes 80% of time never fully clean despite all attempts (by self and management) to address all possible issues.
4. This apt. has very HARD water. Was told to use Lemi Shine to address hard water buildup...which keeps inside of dishwasher nice and clean... forget the dishes.
5. Time required to clean a normal load...1.5 hours...is this "normal?" I recall previous d/w's taking no more than 45min to 60 min from start to finish.
6. Heat element is cracking. Management won't replace at this time.

Anyone have any simple/cost-effective advice for any of the above...namely problem 1. ? Manual says NOT to use liquid detergent.

Thanks so much,
Alice

Fisher Paykel Dryer DE05-US2

Anyone have the manual to this thing or any later models similar?

Would appreciate it!!

Thanks much!!

Fisher Paykel Dryer DE05-US2 Squeaking

09 November 2009 - 10:30 AM

Hi again,

This dryer just began to make a brief (meaning it lasts only for a couple of minutes at most) squeaking sound when I first use the machine, after it has not been used for a couple of days. Though the squeaking does stop after a minute or so, it IS a NEW & suspicious issue. I would be grateful to prevent this from turning into a bigger headache.

What is your advice/diagnoses/ideas/suggestions? And what to do?

Thanks as usual...
PS: I can't find my manual at the moment, in process of preparing to move...can anyone help?
