Frigidaire FGES3075KWA Range Cooking element issues

13 March 2012 - 01:55 PM

Hi there,

please bear with me.... it's a little long.

Initial complaint: None of the top elements are coming on

Findings: inop verified, digital readouts remain blank if switches are turned on however on one

readout a decimal point is on.

Action: replaced relayboard 316442112

Result: after plugging unit in PF appears in all digital readouts except for LR element shows ER.

turned on elements....all work except LR element stays on with 1.8 in readout and

heats although switch is in off position.

Action: unplugged unit and plugged back in.

Result: none of the burners work all element readouts are dead.

Action: replace relay board again and switch asm. 318411400

Result: same as after replacing relay board. LR element heats on off position and all elements go

dead unplugging and plugging back in.

Action: dumbfounded

Result: now i have a drinking problem.

There is one more board called UIB Board 316442061 that all element switches go through....i wonder if the problem lies there.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Tim

Kitchenaid KEMS308GWH0 Controlboard issue ?

06 November 2011 - 10:03 AM

After starting the oven lets say at 350F, it starts to preheat...after a while it tells me to connect the meatprobe although I did not tell the oven that i want to use the meatprobe. Then after a few more minutes the oven shuts off. I checked continuity through the meat probe jack with the result of no continuity which in my opinion is what i should expect...( no internal short ). Now the only thing i can come up with is that either the touchpad is giving the control wrong info or that the controlboard is bad...any input would be appreciated.

thanks

GE ZDIS150WSSB Driving me to drinking

22 October 2011 - 09:20 AM

Initial complaint : No ice production.

Initial findings: After machine is turned on it produces 1 nice slab of ice. Subsequent slabs are wafer thin.

Things tried: Unplugged evaporator thermistor. With that the unit produces for 12 min and goes into harvest for 4 min. Per techsheet the unit is supposed to produce for 25 min and go into harvest for 4 min with disconnected thermistor.

Replaced evaporator thermistor, reservoir sensor and mainboard.

With those parts replaced unit produces 1 nice slab of ice then fills and drains constantly without going into production mode.

Unplugged evaporator thermistor then unit constantly repeats harvest cycle without going into production mode.

Waiting for help with a bottle of rum in my hand.

Thanks

Tim
