My fresh food section has been reading 44 degrees , that has not been typical for this fridge.

I have determined that the fresh food sensor is a bit off( by 10 degrees) by doing the ice test. I  have yet to verify the remaining sensors .

My question is regarding the 2 digit temperature dispay at the top of the fresh food compartment.   While verifying with calibration of the ff sensor i had the sensor hanging  in mid air , door open with the whole compartment at around room temperature. the display never left that 44 degree reading. doing a power cycle or system reset will result in the "correct" temperature reading at that time of about 70 degrees.  i then closed the door and allowed it to cool down . the temp reading after an hour had dropped to 68, while a pocket thermometer cliped to the wire indicated 48 degrees.

Is the nature of the display to not update the temperature more than several times an hour or does this indicate an issue?
