#253480 Whirlpool Dryer keeps Blowing Fuse

Posted by jedhaft@live.com on 01 May 2013 - 03:23 PM

I am working on a whirlpool dryer with the lint trap at the top. It presented with a blown thermal fuse (the little white one) so I replaced it, cleaned out the vent, checked the airflow outside which was pretty strong and left. They called back and said it worked for 20 minutes and died. I went back and the same fuse is dead again. I checked the operating thermostat with a match and it worked but I replaced it anyway. They called back again - same deal! Has anyone had a failing motor or timer cause this before?
