peerless gas boiler wo't ignite

10 October 2012 - 07:42 AM

I have a peerless propane boiler. Every now and then the boiler will not ignite. All the switches and the igniter function and the gas valve opens and then when the boiler does not ignite the gas valve shuts off. The only way to get it to try again is to shut the whole system down and recycle it. Sometimes this must be done two or more times but it always manages to fire up. Several repairs have been attempted but the intermittant problem persists.

Viking oven igniter

23 April 2011 - 09:01 AM

Can anyone tell me the life expectancy of oven igniters for a viking propane stove. I have just installed the third set since october 2007. I have checked supply voltage and currrent draw. Both igniters lite but stove takes a long time to ignite or the gas valve had to be tapped. Over the last year ihave replaced the gas valve, the burner tubes, checked the gas pressure and nothing seems to work except new igniters. I have installed the third set and the stove works fine. Is this what I have to expect or am I overlooking something?

Burner Adjustment

14 April 2011 - 01:04 PM

Trying to adjust the flame on a viking vgrc 365 oven burner. No matter how much I open the shutter the flame still has yellow tips. Have adjusted the hoods but this does not help. The propane pressure is 13 inches

Viking gas valve

21 January 2011 - 10:36 AM

I have a Viking vgrc 3656 dual burner gas oven. Four months ago the oven would not light unless you hit the gas valve, then only the left side lit. I ended up replacing the burner tubes, the ignighters, the gas valve and the oven floor. The oven has worked fine since. Now the oven will not light sometimes but if you tap the gas valve it works fine for a while.
