In Topic: Whirlpool SxS refrigerator GC3SHEXNT04 how do I get to the dispensor motor?

Just a follow up.  Yes, the access was in the door liner  (2 sections down) not sure how I missed it before.  The shaft was rusted and badly rounded off.  Melted the ice out of the cavity, packed it with some clear silicone lube and put in the new drive shaft.  With the new door flapper assy. this shouldn't happen again.  Thanks for the help!

I'll check again when the flapper door kit comes in, also ordered a drive shaft incase its damaged or rounded off.

Yes, power to motor.  I am also replaceing the dispenser door kit as it was closing poorly.  This was a "hey while you're here" repair so I didn't have a ton of time to tear the door all apart.  The motor space may be full of frost.  As I said earlier I didn't see the access on the inner door liner so I was unsure how to remove.  The shaft was difficult to move with a wrench.  I cleaned a fair amount of frost from under the ice bucket.

Sorry, but this model doesn't have that cover.  I expected to find that also, inner liner is solid.

I just worked on one of these.  If the other XLO burner works try switching the POTs.  If the problem moves from one burner to the other then yes, you will have to replace the kit.  Be sure to verify that with your serial number as some of the newer units have been upgraded.
