The part you suggest is the one I ordered first. I checked it with my meter and it is open. It should be N.C. . Maybe I was sent a bad part?

If I remember correctly I disconnected the snorkle  linkage and used clamps to keep it raised in the up position. Then I was able to run the motor back down. I may have had to manually trigger the limit switches as well.
