Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll try to investigate this further.

Job is for a relative, about 45 min. away.

The last time I was there I checked the suspension rods. They look fine, no broken parts or excessive ware marks.

I had the front off, full load, regular cycle. Flash light aimed at center hub.

I saw no play, wobble, or any out of ordenary movement.

The owner, however, insist it sounds like a train running through her basement.

She even held the phone up, and it did sound louder than when I was there.

The Saga continues.

Q; Is there a way to run the machine in agitation mode with the lid open?

I'm thinking it is a magnetic switch.

I was over there again and could fine anything out of the ordinary.

What is involved in replacing the tub hub?

OK, I'll be going there tomorrow.

Here is what I know so far.

The washer works as far as washing clothes.

Only when the agitator works is there a loud noise.

The basket spins fine but there seems to be a lot of play when stopped.

And I did level the machine last time I was there.

Well I found the leak!

It is in the hose that comes out of the dispenser going to the tub.

On the tub side, were a rib conects to a rib support.

I put some rubber adhesive on the area until the new part gets here.

Thanks Everyone!
