#249070 Google Maps and Google Calendar

Posted by bluefrog on 25 February 2013 - 05:38 PM

Hi all, just wanted to share I have been using google calendar to schedule all of my appointments.  I can even input the address of each service call along with notes etc.  When I finish a job I open google calenadar on my cell to see where I'm off to next, tap the address and google maps will navigate me right to the address.  I can the tap on their phone number to give them a call that I am on the way.

When you get within 200ft of your destination, google maps will even show you a picture of the house you are looking  for in most cases. Really cool and all free.

Give it a try if you are a one man op like I am.

#246513 GE Monogram Microwave Turntable and fan wont turn off

Posted by bluefrog on 17 January 2013 - 01:44 PM

Well, update here on this issue.  I was so stumped by this thing that I decided to call GE and they sent out a servicer to take a look.  The repair guy showed up, I told him about the problem, plugged it in, and guess what?  The problem wasn't there anymore.  I must have reconnected a loose wire or something with all the fiddling I did with this thing.  But the problem is now gone.  Turntable and fan no longer constantly run.

The GE guy did state that really the only 3 things that could cause this problem are...

Faulty door switches, Bad main board, or a short or broken wire somewhere.

Hope that helps for any of you looking for a solution in the future.

#231215 LG Front load excess drain time WM2688HWM

Posted by bluefrog on 28 April 2012 - 08:14 PM

Hi all, update on this repair.

Changed out the drain pump and we still had the problem. When it went to drain, you could just hear a tiny trickle, then it would time out after 10mins and give drain error. If you hit the pause button while you heard the trickle and then restarted, the drain pump would then work and drain the water out like normal.

I was leaning towards changing out the main board since the new drain pump didn't solve our problem, but I just didn't feel that was the problem. Test mode ran great, all readings were within normal range.

So I removed the air chamber to check it out. It had a little gookus in it, so I cleaned it out. Checked the hose from air chamber to pressure sensor and blew through it to ensure everything was clear.

Reassembled and ran a test run. Ran great while I was there and so far all is good and I have not heard back from the customer.

Fingers crossed.

#229099 Double Oven GE completely out but wrong voltage present, I'm stumped

Posted by bluefrog on 04 April 2012 - 03:42 PM

Update, you were right. Juction box had a bad connection from shorted light bulb wire in oven. Cleaned it up, new heavy duty wire nut, back in business. Powered up great and no damage to the control board. Customer was very pleased.

Thanks again.

Click on this link and you can see the contest itself and how it works. You will see eliminated entries, for the entries that I eliminated, hold your cursor over the icon and it will show you the design that they submitted. There were some really cool ideas, it was hard to choose a winner.
