kenmore 795.78775.800 warm

20 December 2014 - 08:54 PM

I went on a refrigerator call and the refrigerator is warm around 50F.

The freezer is also warm but the ice cream is solid.

It is a french door 2 drawer refrigerator, that I believe is made by LG.

I would like to use the onboard computer to troubleshoot.

I can't find the manual for this particular one but I found one that looks similar.

I pushed in the test switch on the board and the display lit up.

I pushed again and it read 22    22

I pushed again and it read 33    33

pushed again and it went back to reading normal.

When I got there it was set at 0 & 35.

They called because the ice in the basket melted.

How do I troubleshoot the thermisters?

The compressor is hot and I'm thinking it might be low on gas.

I will be back there on Monday to complete my repairs.

There was no frost on the wall of the freezer and I could feel the air coming from the vent in the refrigerator.

The display is dark every once in a while the display starts to come on faintly. The refrigerator is about 40deg and the freezer is 0. I've been trying to get a board for almost a month but it's on backorder from thermador.

looking at this forum you mention that some of these units were made by GE. Am I able to get the part from them or anywhere else, and what is the part number?

any help is greatly appreciated

the part is: Pcb control PART NUMBER: Part number: 643651

Part number: 643651

refrigerator warm

10 February 2014 - 08:04 PM

whirlpool GC3SHEXNSI6 SER SU3352276

The refrigerator & freezer was warm about 60 deg. and it looked like the evap coil was frozen. I removed the back and noticed only some frost. found that the compressor was not starting and installed a start kit. now it's running but the freezer only got down to 28 deg and the refrig was 40 after 1 day.

I did the self test and everything checks out. I'm assuming it's the board but I'm not sure.

Any advice??

Reciept book holder

16 July 2013 - 10:25 AM

I have an 11X17" metal reciept book. I'm looking to mount it on the ceiling of my truck(Scion XB) to keep it handy and out of the way. Sort of like the State Troopers hat. I found this

http://www.amazon.co...ords=hat holder

I figure for $7. It might work or I might be able to modify it. Any other suggestions?

ge refrig gss20Ieph water in door does not work

13 July 2013 - 07:53 PM

I'm working on a GE Refrigerator GSS20IEPH WW. The water does not come out the spiget when you push the lever. I am able to get water from the coupling under the door when I push the switch. The line appears to be frozen inside the door. I tried to blow the line out with air but that did not work. If I put my hand on the inside of the freezer door it is very cold near the area behind the valve.

My question is how do I unblock the line or defrost the line, basically how do I fix this problem?
