Samsung RFG297AAWP exterior door ice/water disp disassembly

05 May 2013 - 05:05 PM

Does anyone know how to take the door dispenser apart so that I can do a repair job on the rust that is on the lip?  Since it doesn't have a frame, I didn't want to pry too hard at the unit floor until I knew.  Do I  have to remove the entire door assembly from the inside?  Bad enough a new frig with rust, but I'd like to make sure that if the rust continues under the lip that I can get to it to repair all of the rust.  The wonderful quality of today's new appliances. . . . Bosch dishwasher SHU 9902 specific service manual

03 January 2012 - 01:08 PM

I can find the instructions to other Bosch dishwasher models, but nothing on specific to the secret moves needed to remove the outer door panel on the SHU 9900 series which has the controls on the top edge, not on a front panel. Many, many thanks for any help

Samsung RFG297AAWP?XAA

01 May 2011 - 02:16 AM

Like so many others, I am fighting the battle of the Samsung ice maker demon and getting weary.public/style_emoticons/default/boxedin.gif Apparently there is no access for the repair or service manuals for this model, as noted in the manual request forum. Does anyone have access to the particular key combination pressed to begin self diagnosis mode or option mode? For earlier models you press Power Freeze and Power Cool buttons simultaneously for 8 seconds with an audible tone. That doesn't appear to work with this model. Any help or ideas appreciated!
