I assume that since the fridge wasn't frosting over you are referring to this?

 

"For specific diagnostic help as to why the refrigerator is warming up, check out the warm refrigerator flow chart."

 

However, when I click on the link I am not seeing a flowchart.

 

This is all I see.

Fortunately it's not my fridge; it's one from work used to store "specimens"!  :woot:

 

So is "sealed system damage" slang for "I don't know what the mess happened but it can't be reasonably fixed"?

 

Or from you knowledge and experience do the signs point more to a compressor issue or a refrigerant leak or blockage?

 

Thanks for all your help.  Just paid for the Permapprenticeship and look forward to racking y'alls brains in the near future!

Nope. Not the slightest hint of frost on the evap coils after running for an hour.

evap coils are clean and evap fan is running
