I checked the thermistor from the control board plug and got 11.7K ohms at about 70 deg room temp. I ran the machine in diagnostic mode and as the dryer heated up the thermister reading went down. That seems ok. I also used an ohm meter to check the "control on button" from the control board connector and got a different resistance reading each time I pressed it. Should that reading be the same everytime I meter it?
The control on button responds to a press when in diagnostic mode.

I borrowed a known good control board and the problem remained

I checked the resistance at the thermistor with the wires removed. I'll check it from the control board tonight. Is it possible that a bad thermister circuit can cause the machine to not work at all and show no lights on the control panel or should I be looking somewhere else.
