Maytag Epic Z Washer Model MHWZ600TW F20 error code

29 September 2013 - 01:59 PM

I got an F20 error code on my 5 year (and 17 day) old Maytag Epic Z washing machine (which, of course, had a 5 year warranty ;)

So, I have looked online and was directed toward the water pressure sensor as a potential culprit for this problem.  One video also noted that the water tube that runs to the water pressure sensor is not well insulated and rubs against internal parts as the machine runs and eventually has a whole worn through the hose.

We've taken the top of the machine and as we run down that tubing we find it's flattened and........a hole has been rubbed in the tubing.

My questions are this:  1)  is the hose listed Repair Clinic with item number 8540294 the proper hose to fix this problem?  2) It seems we should put more foam insulation around the tubing to try to prevent this from happening again - is there a reason not to do this?  3) I noted one person posted a video and replaced the rubber tubing with a clear plastic tubing (kind of like fish tank tubing) - do you think this idea is good or bad?

I am hoping to be able to make this repair myself.  My other problem is the best way to move this extremely heavy machine into a more workable position in my "laundry room" (which is merely a pass through space to the garage....very little room).  I know I need to remove the back panel to get to where the other end of this tubing connects up.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks so much,

LG Refrigerator LRSC 26923SW

15 April 2011 - 11:04 AM

My ice dispenser funnel broke on my LG Refrigerator (Model LRSC 26923SW)surprising my son as it fell into his drink. I note on the Repair Clinic site that in addition to the replacement funnel I need to order a new funnel frame . I can see why a new frame is necessary (clip orientation on the new funnel is different than the old funnel). But, I can't see how I would go about accessing the front of the fridge to replace the frame. Can you help??
