#287036 Maytag Neptune mah55flbww poor drain and FL error code.

Posted by newtech11 on 06 March 2014 - 09:01 PM

I haven't looked at this machine yet. Scheduled for the morning. I can't find anything pertaining to an FL code. I did find the tech sheet in downloads  but no FL. Any thoughts. Thanks.

FL mean's faulty door latch. After closing the door. The dryer tries to latch the door 6 times. If it fails to do so  a FL code is flag. Hope this helps'.

#287031 My Maytag oven delays heating then lights with a HUGE boom...

Posted by newtech11 on 06 March 2014 - 08:38 PM

My oven has always been slow to start up, but now, it delays for minutes, then when it starts is booms so loudly the house shakes. (not using the oven anymore until repaired obviously!) it is a Maytag model MGR5875QDW I would love to be able to repair this myself, my husband would be so impressed, (so would I!) Do I need a new igniter?

I would check out where the gas leak is coming from before do anything else. You have a build up of gas in the oven cavity, which is be ignited by the the ignitor causing a mini explosion! You may have crack or broken gas line, loose gas line connection or a faulty safety valve.

Sorry for the delay getting back. Thanks Jumptrout and RegUS for your assistance.
I did yank on the sensor, but could never get it down to the connection.
But there is a happy ending to this.
The customer called said the oven started working after I left, and she was very happy with the results and would call me back if she has anymore problems. Then paid me for my time! :sillytongue:
