GE Monogram Fridge ZISS420DXSS works too good!

28 May 2014 - 07:03 AM

I bought a secondhand Monogram 42" with the compressor on top and the fridge keeps going far below the set temp. I have it at 37 and this morning it was at 27. Also the freezer never seems to get as cold as I want it - usually just a degree or two above. I notice the fan inside (turns off when I open a door and switches back on when door closed) runs nonstop... I also have yet after 2 days to catch the compressor not running. Where can I begin to test to diagnose this, fellas?

Help reading simple diagram/ Defrost on Avanti FF8Y

05 April 2012 - 04:24 PM

Hi, this Avanti Refrigerator seems to always have hot sides near the freezer compartment and compressor runs a lot. I removed the back and found the defrost timer. Can any of you tell me which wire I should unplug to see if the defrost timer shuts off? I turned the knob on the back and it did not trip the compressor off, nor seem to turn off the defrost, but I may have not waited long enough before feeling it. Thanks guys, cheers!

GE J BP70S0K1SS Range, turns on, no elements heat

30 January 2012 - 07:46 PM

I've checked the wire cord terminals where they come in the rear and there is 240V there. The clock works, and when you turn on a dial, the element on and hot surface lights illuminate. Where should I go from here? Thank you!

Kitchenaid KUDI01FLSS3 repeats wash cycle

14 November 2011 - 12:03 AM

Let me first thank anyone who takes the time to assist me with this problem!

Let me second say that Kitchenaid ain't what it used to be. Turd!

My Kitchenaid dishwasher will get stuck on what seems like the second wash cycle. It will wash, pause about 15 seconds, then repeat it over and over. I can depress the cancel button and close the door to manually initiate draining. I have removed the thermostat leads and shorted them together, to no avail. There are also two leads hanging loose beneath the machine, white and orange/black stripe, that are located in front of the motor housing. They are wire tied to the harness and may have been unhooked from the factory, I'm not sure.

Any ideas?
