Thanks for the help Guys. Was out of town for a while hence the late reply.

I tried the rotor from the bottom drawer as suggested and put it in the top (this is one of the best things about having a Dish Drawer Dishwasher, you get to swap parts around and always keep at least one running). All good now. Just need to order a new rotor.

Glad I asked as I was going to go in from the front

Dropped the motor and shaft and noticed a little water had leaked down and frozen the drive gear in the lower position. Thawed and dried. All is good now.

Thanks

The ice chute door is working so sounds like the hex drive shaft isn't rising. What is the best way to gain access to it? Looks like I can open the bottom, top or pull the front panel.

In Topic: fisher paykel DD605ss - U1 fill fault error

30 November 2012 - 03:29 AM

Well I got a hold of the nice people at F/P and they gave me an important bit of info,"the tub needs to fill in under 45 seconds". This wasn't  happening and it was just taking too long to fill the tub. Replaced fill solenoid and all is well now. So turns out J5 was right with the flow rate check just needed to know what a descent rate was.

flow rate checks out ok. Machine stops 3-4 seconds into wash cycle so no problem with flow and amount of water in the tub.
