Vent pipe is clean. I will check wiring at terminal block and also continuity of heating coil.

Removed drum w bearing from machine, unscrewed shaft from drum, rear ewes I'd properly, put the drum back. Machine is purring. ;-)

Follow up on my first post. After staring at the schematic of the dryer ( http://click.linksyn...sxh43ef0ww.html )
I unscrewed the drum from the shaft suppport because i could not lift the drum otherwise; it would not let itself be lifted.

Many thanks! Once I located the orifice hoods, it was easy to untighten them , and now I have a beautiful big blue flame!

Thanks, RegUS, but that does not say where the orifice hoods are located, which is what I am trying to find.
