In Topic: Ken more dishwasher. Not washing mdl 665.16352301

05 May 2014 - 12:30 PM

Yes, everything was taken out and cleaned. Water is leaving middle spray arm, and it is rotating. Doesn't seem to be getting any to the top spinner. I smeared a ketchup swipe on a dish, placed it in top rack, never got washed away. Left dish completely laying down in top rack and the top of the dish only had a drip of water on it. Water is hot upon entering tub. Plus an empty dishwasher should clean a fresh smear of ketchup off a solo plate.

I took the torks screws off, cleaned screen and then took one more screw off and removed cover protecting the bottom of the sump. It wasn't overly clogged or dirty.

I am not too familar with these washers. Think I am missing something but then maybe have a weak wash motor?

In Topic: Ge laundy center/space saver-dryer too hot

17 March 2013 - 06:16 PM

Ok, after I actually got ge appliance, seems that the dryer doesn't turn on. L1 was disconnected upon arrival, heater is nt shorted out. But appliance was left in the rain. Door switch has got continuity. Start switch has continuity when turned. Motor is free of obstruction and blower turns freely. Without a schematic I am not sure if the thermostat on the blower is a thermal fuse or a cycling thermostat. Washer works fine. What to check ext-Any ideas? I am fairly certain problem doesn't lie with the thermostats on the heater housing, because the motor won't even turn on........?

In Topic: GE Microwave was dead this a.m.

If the Microwave is completely dead I would suspect a fuse as well. Most commonly the fuse blows when there is a problem with one of the (3) door microswitches. It is a fairly easy and common repair on these microwaves.

Looked at our Reliable Appliance Parts up here, $63 for the kit. Slays me how much difference the price is from USA to Canada. Frustrating!!!!

That's great, thanks! So if that plastic piece on the motor shaft-if it gets stripped, or loose, can that rubber seal leak??
I am still harboring fears of leaks, seriously I took that thing apart and put back together 3 times because I was too busy chatting to pay attention to the order of things! Now I have secret fears I seriously wrecked things!
***Note to self*** Self, never catch up on gossip while taking apart a machine you have never taken apart before
