What will the ex-Ford employees think of next?

#228248 Digital multimeter recommendation?

Fluke 289 for me. I think some of the relatively high list price is due to the data logging feature; not so useful for me. However, I found a very low price one on e-bay. I don't know which of the other models have the temperature reading capability but I find it very useful for checking when the roast is done. Can't be too accurate when chasing medium rare!

just to add my two cents worth, make sure you chase this problem to the end. Although not from the same discwasher my friend's D/W started a fire which, if it wasn't for their kid skipping school that day would have taken out the whole house. According to the firemen D/W fires are one of the leading causes of house fires. Never heard that before.

#224337 Bore scope anyone?

Posted by JJSuperfly on 18 February 2012 - 12:50 PM

On an editorial note, replacing those plugs and coils was a huge pain in the rear.

The borescope can help with that too :moondance:

On a serious note, I've looked at the Milwaukee and Ryobi scopes at Home Depot; the M'kee was twice the price but seemed to have better construction and a better display quality. I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend... I've also rented an industrial scope worth $15,000. The reason I know how much it cost was due to a technician employee breaking it. :fouetaa:
