check air dome for debris, i had one a few weeks ago that a piece of a plastic wrapper was in the white tube, you could blow thru the hose not problem but when the unit filled with water the plastic floated up and blocked the hose.

sounds like the the machine thinks its off balance, what was the source of the "refurbished" MCU

i dont have any advice on testing it but based upon personal experience i have replaced at least 50 flow meters over the years for FH codes and i dont recall ever replacing the CCU for said issue.
