Hey Boys! BunnyRooRoo's back:Kenmore 417.44072300 Washer death

Wee,Wee,Weeeeeeeeee

Had so much fun last time-had to come back for more.

Recap of trouble: Machine was lifeless, no lights, no power. Found obvious burn mark on contol board housing. Then noticed one shock completely unattached. Two tiny holes in the boot as well.

Ordered parts (from Repair Clinic) Today.

Any advice on doing the instal? Most curious on the removal of the door boot. \

Love ya all,
Rebecca

Without any warning signs-or sounds--- My husband went to do his weekly 3 loads- Honey!! Something's wrong with the washer!

The display is black- power is avail at outlet. No sound or visual response upon unplugging & plugging back in. Tried unplugged for 4 hours. Nothing.

Good news! I see you sell my model's control board (is that the correct tittle?) just have to wait till avail in March.

I'm planning a full scale inspection tomorrow. Any way to validate the problem?

I read a previous post regarding power surge-so will look closely for evidence. I went to a vocational electronics engineering program (in 1985-omg-I'm old!) so have tools & meters galore. That's why it's my job,and not the "man of the house" LOL.

Thanks for helping all us needy folks!
All our appliances are reaching "that age" so I'll be sending my "love offerings" for future insurance policy!!
