Thanks for your input, but no quite sure how to perform the diagnostics when I see a fridge which is completely quiet, no display at all(see picture in 1st post). Is this the state of the jazz-board you see often and is their anything worthwhile checking be4 I put a new board in at the risk of it burning out again before leaving my customer. I guess that even repairpartpros.com will not replace a board for free if it looks like the one in my picture. I certainly can not in Israel.

Thanks guys for your help, Sorry frost and not ice. I replaced both card and defrost thermostat but was there a simple way of knowing which was causing the problem?

answer my simple question, what causes the tray to flex and release the ice. Is it a stopper-pin on the tray or body of the icemaker or some microswitch. Will try to add some pictures my customer sent me(not very good quality) Thanks Michael[attachment=7769:Mobogenie_20141017_185019.jpg]Attached File  Mobogenie_20141017_184958.jpg   97.79KB   0 downloadsAttached File  Mobogenie_20141017_185033.jpg   96.21KB   0 downloadsAttached File  Mobogenie_20141017_185048.jpg   89.71KB   0 downloads

Went back today to customer with new defrost-thermistor and changed the defrost bi-metal.Looking at the frost pattern on the evaporator it looks like it has been on a defrost over the last 12 hours. Could unplugging the fridge a couple of times have reset the muthaboard or could it be related that I left the fridge without the defrost-thermistor? Is the defrost interval controlled by a timer on the board, the thermistor or a combination of both?

Thanks for your answer. I donot think there is a problem with the doorseals, look good.Defrostdrain path is clear. Only other thing I can think of is that kids take stuff from fridge and leave door open. Can not sit there for 24 hours. Has anybody else got some suggestions?
