Frigidaire Refrigerator fghb2844lfd

29 December 2013 - 07:57 PM

No water at water dispenser or ice maker. Water valve is good. Water goes through filter fine. The tube coming from the filter goes back into the refrigerator on the back right side about middle ways down. I have water at this point.

Where the tubes go in the back 2 other tubes are coming out that then go down and supply the water valve. Water vavle has four solenoids and is good. It's just not getting water. I'm thinking it's freezing up where it goes in the back before coming back out and going to the valve.

Any one know of a service bulletin for this problem?  I wish I had taken a picture of the abortion Frigidaire created with all the tubing and valves on this thing.

Should Appliances be plugged into GFI outlets?

09 December 2013 - 05:56 PM

Should Appliances be connected to GFI outlets?

Having trouble on a dishwasher.

Dishwasher runs and completes rinse only cycle.

But, when I try to run normal wash an the element tries to come on, it trips a GFI outlet up by the cabinets.

I element circuit doesn't show to have a short to ground.

So I just suggested they change out the GFI outlet for a normal outlet like they have everywhere else in the kitchen.

i thought larger appliances didn't work well with GFIs. Am I missing something?

Maytag Neptune fav6800aww error dc

24 October 2013 - 04:19 PM

This washer has 2 struts in the front and 2 suspension rods in the front.

It's banging the sides of the washer and throwing a dc error.

The suspension rods and struts seem to be in good condition.

This is the first time I have encountered 1 of these.

It scared me so much I just wanted a repair manual to help the overcome the shock.

I've got the manual now. But was hoping you guys could point me the right direction.

Hindsight tells me I should have watched it run with the top open to make sure the 2 disk/tumblers were actually turning.

Any insight would sure help my blood pressure.

thanks guys!

KitchenAide Refrigerator ksrp25fnss00 cooling inconsistent

13 October 2013 - 10:11 PM

This refrigerator gets too warm sometimes but works fine at other times.

When I got there the freezer was about 25 inside but was running.

I think it had just started.

I checked the frost pattern and it had a nice frost pattern.

Defrost thermostat was good.

Evaparator, condensor fans, and compressor where all running.

Cleaned the coils, but everything seemed to be running perfectly.

By the time I got the coils cleaned and checked the temperature again it was already down to 7 degrees.

I told the lady to call if it got warm again and she called that evening saying it was doing it again.

That didn't suprise me that much but here's my problem.

I'm not sure what the hell to check. Any suggestions on what I need to check or what parts I should take with me would be a lot of help.

Ge Profile XL1800 Microwave jvm1870sf001

26 September 2013 - 10:07 AM

I replaced the magnetron in this 7 weeks ago.

Got a call yesterday from the lady saying she came home and smelled something and tracked it to the microwave.

When she opened it she said it was too hot inside to touch even though it wasn't turned on, so, she unplugged it.

Said she went outside where the guys were and ask if any of them had been using it and they said no.

Said later she plugged it back in and cooked some bacon and hasn't been able to use it since then.

She says it comes on like it's cooking but doesn't heat.

My question is has anyone ran into anything like this on a microwave being hot even though it not been running?

Or did some jackass set it for 30 minutes use it 2 to heat their coffee and restart it and walk off?
