Thanks for the info. I recommended she see what whirlpool will do for her before I get involved, as I am not an authorized whirlpool servicer. This will give me time to familiarize myself with the refrigerator via download from this website. I appreciate all the wisdom of the sages. I'm going to follow this as close as I can and will update what I find.

Rich, If you have input voltage to the board/control unit, put your meter probes across the motor and hit the start button. If no voltage I would consider the control board. You may be loosing your power there. Don't run away. You won't learn anything. Keep us posted. Good luck.

Pull out the ice tray, get your head in there, or an inspection mirror and you should see two screws on the top and one on the bottom. Remove the bottom screw and loosen the top screws enough to lift the ice maker and unplug it. Then remove the ice maker.

Thanks for responding Rich. I took the pump off and checked the impeller and it was good. I ran the pump with a test cord. It ran smooth. The coin was on the intake inside the outer tub and did not get into the pump.
