Posts I've Made

In Topic: Kitchen Aid compressor and heat exchanger KSSS48DAX01

18 June 2013 - 12:25 PM

Careful on this one, check for oil where the heat exchanger makes the 90 degree bend into the evaporator.

I have found many to leak at the joint from the heat exchanger into the evaporator.

In Topic: GE GSS20DBMB not staying cold in freezer or Ref side

17 April 2013 - 12:39 PM

Change the relay/overload/start capacitor. On bottom freezer models I will change the board which is clearly burnt

and somehow how the relay assy goes bad also. I've had to do it 3 times in the past two weeks. Weird.

In Topic: GE Refrigerator Evaporator Frosting Up

17 April 2013 - 12:36 PM

Also on GE thermistor replacement, Use a crimp style wire nut and fill the bottom with silicone so moisture cant get into the connection.

I learned this one the hard way... on my own refrigerator.

In Topic: Maytag MSD2959 water lines and more water lines, Help!

31 January 2013 - 01:17 PM

Sorry guys, its a MSD2957AEB. Durham was right, it was a 7 and also right in that

one should not assume when it comes to this stuff. I am experienced enough to know better.

The "Y" is still there. I think that the Y goes to the lower valve (looking in from the back) and the top valve takes

the IM and the dispenser.

In Topic: Jenn Air slide in downdraft JES9800BAS odd problem with Touchpad.

30 December 2012 - 02:43 PM

Looking at the wiring diagram, it doesnt seem like anything would kill power to

the touch pad. I'm going to need a service manual for this range, visually considerably different than the

JES9800AAS, which has a manual posted already. I'm going to put a manual request up

in that forum.
